- Our primary purpose is to raise funds and awareness for Pancreatic Cancer research and extend assistance to members of our local Kansas City hockey community who are impacted by cancer. We do this by organizing ice hockey tournaments and engaging in other hockey-related fundraising activities. Our mission allows us to stay true to the vision established by our late founder Bob Klem, using the sport he loved as the vehicle to serve his passion.
- This November, the day before Thanksgiving, we will host one of our favorite annual events: The HASB Turkey Bowl. During this event, we bring together members of our local hockey community for an evening of food, drink, fun, and hockey! These charity games were special to Bob, and we are grateful for the opportunity to continue the great tradition he started. The Turkey Bowl is an important event for our organization, and we hope it continues to grow it into a bigger and better avenue for helping in the fight against Pancreatic Cancer. HASB is currently seeking partnerships with organizations and individuals who desire to partner with us. To do this, we must first offset the costs of bringing our friends together for this night of fun. Once we cover these costs, 100% of every dollar we receive will go to fulfill our mission of fighting Pancreatic Cancer and supporting our local hockey community.
