The primary purpose of this corporation is to run private ice hockey tournaments and other hockey-related activities to raise funds for pancreatic cancer research.
A secondary purpose of the corporation will be to raise funds to aid those individuals in need within the great Kansas City area hockey community. Need is defined as costs incurred because of healthcare, medical, loss of livelihood, and catastrophic injuries related to playing hockey. The HASB Board of Directors will determine the need and will include the minimum requirements for serving the members of the greater KC hockey community.
As of September 2024, a tertiary purpose is to fight breast cancer. HASB-KC has formed a working partnership with Bra Couture a local charity created to support the fight against breast cancer.
